‘BIRDS’, ‘WESLIANS’ CLASH

MBABANE – Rivalry will be renewed in the EswatiniBank Cup between Mbabane Swallows and Manzini during the EswatiniBank Cup Ladies tournament.


The two sides will clash in the semi-final of the tournament after the draw was conducted at the EswatiniBank Auditorium yesterday morning. The second semi-final will feature defending champions Young Buffaloes Ladies against Siteki Ladies.


The semi-finals of the E140 000 sponsored tournament will be played this weekend at a venue yet to be confirmed by the Management Committee (MC).
Manzini Wanderers Ladies Manager Mduduzi Maseko said they would do all in their means to qualify for the finals.


Wanderers reached the semi-finals after beating OlympAfrica Ladies 1-0 while Mbabane Swallows won 2-0 against Kappa Ladies in the quarter-finals.
Young Buffaloes were the biggest winners as they embarrassed Royal Leopard 9-0 to boot them out of the tournament with Siteki Ladies reaching the semi-finals by beating Elangeni 3-2.


Conducting the draw was EswatiniBank staffers, Knowledge Manana, Thembumenzi Mamba and Lungile Madolo. They were assisted by Premier Legaue of Eswatini CEO Simanga Nhleko and Development Officer Banele Masondo.
Siteki Ladies were not represented during the draw.
