MBABANE – EswatiniBank Cup defending champions Young Buffaloes will welcome back striker Phiwa Dlamini in their quarter-final match against Matsapha United.

The bulky striker missed their past two victories over Manzini Sea Birds and Mbabane Citizens due to suspension. Despite the good news for the army side, they will still be without burly forward Ndoda Mthethwa who suffered an injury during the 4-1 win over Mbabane Highlanders in the Ingwenyama Cup final a fortnight ago.

Buffaloes play Matsapha United on Saturday at Somhlolo National Stadium at 4:05pm. Buffaloes Public Relations Officer (PRO) Thando ‘Va’ Nxumalo confirmed yesterday.

“It is good news for the team. He has served the suspension and he will be back contesting on Saturday. We are unlucky that Ndoda Mthethwa is still being assessed by our medical staff but he is doubtful for the quarter-final,” he said.
Buffaloes had to do without their trusted striker during the 7-0 bashing of Mbabane Citizens where Sandile Gamedze scored a hat-trick with Sanele Ngcamphalala netting a brace.

Nxumalo said they were preparing hard for the match as they have kept their eyes on defending the trophy. Buffaloes are going for a treble as they also have their eyes on the MTN Premier League. They are third behind leaders, Royal Leopard and second-placed Green Mamba.
They have already won the Ingwenyama Cup.
