WE’RE STILL IN TITLE RACE - NYANGA

LOBAMBA – Even though the body language told a story of a missed opportunity, Mbabane Swallows head coach, Nyanga ‘Crooks’ Hlophe was still smarting after the crippling 1-all draw with rivals Highlanders here yesterday.

Swallows are now a distant seven points behind log leaders Royal Leopards with four games remaining which effectively left their chances of defending the league crown hanging by the thinnest of threads. “I think psychologically it knocked us down because we didn’t start off well. I told the players that a derby is not easy and you cannot predict it.

But we are still in it, the good thing is that we are still to play some of the title chasers as well,” Hlophe said. Highlanders’ stand-in coach Bongani Mhlongo said he was happy with his team’s performance and result. “We played well; we could have won the game. I am happy that we stuck to our game plan. As for Sawa’s injury, he has a recurring shoulder injury,” Mhlongo said.
