MBANZINI – The next stop for long-distance runners is the TZD Half Marathon billed for month end in Siteki, Lubombo.

This will be the third 21km race since the year began after the Epilepsy Charity Half Marathon and the Tuff One race that was held on Saturday at Zakhele Sports Ground. TZD Athletics Club Chairman Zakhele Dlamini confirmed that the race would include a 21km and 10km race on March 30.

Meanwhile, Total’s Sindi Horton said they were happy that the Tuff One marathon was getting bigger and better each year. Total was among the sponsors of the 14th edition of the Tuff One together with Sportz House, Swaziland Beverages, Zimpa Investment, Mbabane Motors, Premier Foods, Swazi Coolers and the Swaziland National Sports and Recreation Council, (SNSRC) among others.

“Next year we will be promoting running as families and I believe we are going to have a prize for the biggest family. Total encourages healthy living among its customers and the nation and being part of such events is one of our initiatives,” she said.
The ‘Tuff One’ race saw over 1 000 runners taking part.
