LOBAMBA – League title hopefuls Tinyosi FC kept their dream alive against Rangers FC.

Tinyosi came from behind to defeat Rangers 2-1 in their MTN National First Division match here yesterday.
Tinyosi remain on the second position of the second tier division log with 31 points in 15 games played. Tinyosi are two points behind table toppers Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows who parade 33 points at the summit of the log.

The Shiselweni based outfit remains on the sixth position of the log with 23 points above Seven Dreams who lost 0-1 to Milling Hot Spurs during an earlier fixture.

It was Rangers who broke the deadlock through the boot of Sikhumbuzi Mkhwanazi three minutes after the quarter-hour mark to hand the visitors the lead.
It was a brilliant solo effort where he shook off defenders and dribbled past the goalkeeper Muzikayise Tsetfwa to pass the empty net and the score was 1-0.

However, their joy was short-lived as Tinyosi found the equaliser three minutes later and thanks to Njabulo Malaza who finished from a rebound ball.
The goal was as a result of poor defending from Rangers where the ball hit the upright and was back into play and the scorer was perfectly positioned to finish off.

Rangers’ Xolani Msibi did well to clear the ball on the line from Tinyosi’s Steven Maluleka’s header when Rangers’ goalkeeper Thembinkosi Dlamini was down on the ground helplessly watching the ball about to cross the line.
After the breather, Malaza almost found his brace but was unfortunate to see his header just wide.

It was substitute Bongumenzi Dlamini who found the winning goal for Tinyosi at 70 minutes.
He connected a nicely-crafted pass from Bafana Mndzebele near the centre line and banged home the winning goal at the far lower post.
