MBABANE – Changes everywhere for ‘Weslians’  Manzini Wanderers’ Director Mehluli Nhlengetfwa has disbanded the team’s National Supporters Committee (NSC).

According to information obtained by this publication, this transpired this past Saturday where the director had a meeting with other structures of the team. The structures included members of the NSC, led by Chairman ‘Majay’vane’ Dlamini, and the Management Committee (MC).

Sources asserted that the administration continued with its effort of restructuring the team, with the disbanding of the NSC the latest development.
This comes after the team welcomed the new director a few months ago who took over from Sandile ‘Chief’ Dlamini, Peter Mathaba and Percy Mngomezulu.
The MC was also restructured a few months ago with new players brought to the team during the January transfer window period.

Sought for comment, Nhlengetfwa said a statement would soon be released to the media regarding the matter and he said it was already approved.
Gathered information was to the effect that the director suggested that some executive members of the NSC joined the Task Team, led by former sole director Sikebhe Dlamini and were tasked to ensure the proper revival of national branches.

disbanded

The team’s Marketing and Communications Manager Bhekithemba Zwane confirmed that the director disbanded the NSC when reached for comment yesterday.

“I think what has to be highlighted and emphasised is that, the disbanding was done in the spirit of unifying the team while eradicating factionalism in this transitional period so that there were no overlaps with the Task Team,” said Zwane.

The manager continued to highlight that to show the unifying element, the NSC chairman and other members were incorporated into the task team and they will work together towards reigniting or reviving national branches and carry out other important functions of the club.
