DEVELOPMENT PRIORITY FOR ORCAS

MBABANE – Development is the buzz word in majority of swimming clubs.

Newly-established club Orcas was among the clubs that sent a number of youngsters during the Eswatini Swimming Association (ESA) Age Gala held on Saturday at the 25-metre Sifundzani School swimming pool in Mbabane.

They included those who competed and little ones who did the kick-board swim.
Some of the clubs that took part in the competitions included Swim Lab, Sharks, Blue Whales, Enjabulweni and schools including Mhlatane High and Thembelisha School.

Orcas coach and swimmer Mark Hoare said as the club was still new it was important that focus be given to development.
“We still have a lot of little swimmers who are below the age of seven and we want to give focus on developing the sport in the Lubombo Region,” he said.
Orcas is based in Big Bend.
