MBABANE – Mbabane Swallows coach Musa Manyatsi believes his side is not under pressure ahead of the MTN Premier League clash against rivals, Manzini Wanderers.

‘The Birds’ will be facing their former coach Thabo ‘Koki’ Vilakati for the first time since he left the defending champions late last year. The game is billed for Sunday at Somhlolo National Stadium, kick-off 3:30pm. Fans will pay E40 as they will first watch Mbabane Highlanders take on Manzini Sea Birds at 1:30pm. The double-header will be played under the Y’ello Sunday banner as confirmed by Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) CEO Simanga Nhleko.

Target

Manyatsi said their target is to win all their games and they will go out to play their usual match and try to get the maximum points. Swallows beat the ‘Weslians’ 3-2 in the first round fixture and  were under Vilakati while Nyanga ‘Crooks’ Hlophe was Wanderers coach.

“We are aware that Wanderers are under a new coach who is a former Mbabane Swallows gaffer. We respect Wanderers as a team and Vilakati as a coach. We are not feeling any pressure but we want to go out there and win the match to be able to stand chances of improving our position in the log,” he said.

Manyatsi took over the coaching post at Swallows after the depature of Vilakati. He has recorded three wins since he took over while Vilakati had won one of the three games since he took over at the relegated threatened side. Swallows are fourth on the log with 29 points after 15 games. They are two points behind leaders Green Mamba and second-placed Young Buffaloes while Leopard, who have a game in hand are on the third spot having accumulated 30 points.

Games

Wanderers are 11th on the log with 15 points after the same number of games. Swallows Public Relations Officer (PRO) Jackson Dlamini said this is a game they would like to win at all cost. He said the team was back at training yesterday morning after their 2-0 victory over Manzini Sundowns on Sunday in the Ingwenyama Cup.
Manzini Wanderers coach Thabo ‘Koki’ Vilaakti said it was too early in the week to comment as they were still returning to training.
