WANDERERS, CITIZENS IN RELEGATION SIX-POINTER

MBABANE – Beleaguered Manzini Wanderers are under pressure to return to winning ways when they face fellow strugglers Mbabane Citizens in a relegation six-pointer tonight.

Only a point ahead of their opponents who are in the drop zone, defeat for Wanderers will be a recipe for disaster in their bid to shake off the terrible run.
The maroon and white outfit’s loyalists are now having ants in their pants following a four-game league winless run. 

The last time Wanderers celebrated a league win was back on November 11, 2018 when they beat Vovovo 1-0.  They hope for a reprieve against a side also enduring a terrible campaign. The latter, who are league’s ‘draw specialists’ are winless in seven league matches. 

Their last league win was on October 28, 2018 when they beat Sea Birds by 2-0. Both sides have frailties upfront, but will fancy their chances this evening after playing to a 1-all draw in the reverse fixture. It is still early days but the teams crave for the maximum points to start breathing again.
