BUCKLE-UP! 3RD EDITION REGIONAL FINALISTS FACE UBOMBO FLYERS

MBABANE – They have a chance once again to be crowned the Ingwenyama Cup regional champions this year.


Shiselweni’s Young Movers were last year defeated by City Warriors and became the runners-up of the regional champions.
For this edition, they were drawn against Ubombo Flyers for the regional semi-finals at Sigwaca House yesterday.


The second fixture will see recently promoted side from Kwaluseni Promotion, Masundvwini Royal Swallows take on Swazi Sun.
Masundvwini became the Manzini region champions after they beat Luve Cosmos FC while Ubombo Flyers were crowned the champions of Lubombo after they won against Mauritius.

Meanwhile, in the Hhohho region, Swazi Sun became the regional champions after they defeated Manchester United.
In the Shiselweni, Young Movers became the champions after they won against Shooting Stars.
E40 000 is at stake as the champion of the regional Ingwenyama Cup will walk away with this amount as the grand prize.


The runners- up will pocket E20 000 as a consolation prize while the two remaining semi-finalist losers will each take E15 000 home.
Nkosenhle Makawosi Masuku, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Ingwenyama Cup congratulated the teams for reaching the semi-finals of the regional wing.
He said the teams did well in the last 32 of the Ingwenyama Cup as they show cased good football and highlighted that they all had an equal chance to lift up the prestigious trophy.


Masuku also highlighted that a fixture with the venues and dates on which the games would be played will be availed at a later stage. Nonetheless, he stated that they thought the games would be played next week, probably tomorow. Chairman of the Management Committee (MC) Ace Siboza urged the teams, officials and fans to let the games play without causing violence.


He condemned the violence that happened this past weekend at Mhlume during Mbabane Highlanders and Vovovo FC quarter-finals match.
