MBABANE – Returning Manzini Wanderers coach Thabo ‘Koki’ Vilakati has reportedly been offered a two-year renewable contract at the maroon and white outfit.

While Wanderers insisted on revealing finer details of the engagement and related details after the conclusion of discussions in the next few days, impeccable sources confirmed the period of engagement for the reputable gaffer who returns to the maroon and white outfiut after  leaving over five seasons ago.

As Vilakati is inheriting a side currently flirting with the chop, reports suggest he has been only been mandated to just help Wanderers finish in a respectable position.
“In the first season, Vilakati’s assignment is to help Wanderers finish in a respectable position.
“The following season, he is required to start challenging for honours,” alleged an impeccable source.

When Wanderers CEO Pat Mahlalela was reached for comment, he said the nitty gritties of Vilakati’s attachment would be discussed when the team returns to training.
“The management will meet when the team returns to training on December 27.They will discuss the issue of the outgoing coach, current coach and recruiting new players for the rest of the season. I cannot pre-empty what will be discussed during the meeting,” Mahlalela said.

He further highlighted their players were on break for a week but would soon hit the ground running in preparation for Ingwenyama Cup.
Meanwhile when Thabo ‘Koki’ Vilakati was reached for comment, he was unavailable on his mobile number. Several attempts were made but his mobile number was still unreachable by the time of compiling this report.
The hub giants will clash horns with police ensemble, Royal Leopard in the last 16 of the Ingwenyama Cup on January 5. It will be Vilakati’s first game in charge.
