MBABANE – They are not worried but excited to be drawn against defending champions of the Ingwenyama Cup, Mbabane Swallows.

First Division side, Rangers are happy over the fact that they will play against Swallows in the last 16 of the fourth edition of the tournament. After the draw yesterday at the Sincemphetelo Motor Vehicle Accident Fund (SMVAF) headquarters, Rangers said they were prepared to win against the capital city giants. The second-tier side manager, Thokozani Ndzinisa, minced no words that they will shock Swallows.

Love

“We love them big so that when they fall, they make a lot of noise,” said the manager. Swallows Public Relations Officer (PRO) Jackson Dlamini said it was a fair draw. “It’s a fair draw, all we need to do is to go and prepare for the game,” he said. The PRO further stated that they will not undermine or take Rangers lightly especially for a knockout tournament. “In a game of football, especially in knockout tournaments, there are no small or big teams as anything can happen,” said Dlamini. Rangers will host the defending champions at King Sobhuza Stadium on January 5, 2019 and kick-off is at 3:30pm.

On the other hand, Mbabane Highlanders Public Relations Officer (PRO) Paul ‘Magidzel’dzakeni’ Masilela said Vovovo FC were young boys. This is after Highlanders were drawn against the Motshane-based outfit for a fixture slated for January 5, 2019 at Nsukuwansuku Stadium, Mhlume. “This is a big tournament and we will teach Vovovo a lesson as we are more of a father figure to them,” said Masilela. In response, Vovovo Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Stan Dlamini said they once won against Highlanders and were prepared to do it again.
