PALMA RETURNS IN JANUARY

MBABANE – He has been the missing link in their line of defence. That is trusted and vastly experienced central defender Mandla Palma, also the longest serving player at Mbabane Swallows having joined in the mid-90s.

He had been out of action through injury sustained while on duty for his club in Angola in their final match of the TOTAL CAF Champions League 2018 group stage.
He returned with his leg covered in Plaster of Paris and a wheelchair was used to move around at the OR Tambo International Airport in South Africa upon return. He was yet to kick the ball in the MTN Premier League this season.
“He will not immediately return to action, that’s what I can say,” Swallows’ PRO Jackson Dlamini said when reached for comment.

The duo returned to training this week but could not yet make the selection for this past Wednesday’s MTN Premier League match against Manzini Sundowns. However, they could both see some action in January due to lack of fitness after long lay-offs.

Ndzinisa has already declared he was ready to play and continue scoring goals as that is what he enjoyed most. Currently, the league’s leading scorer is Green Mamba’s Musa Dlamini with seven goals while Ndzinisa won the top scorer award last season.
