LOBAMBA  - A second half strike by Sibusiso Mkhonta handed Manzini Sundowns an early Christmas gift at the expense of Mbabane Swallows.
The ‘Kappa Boys’ handed the defending champions their fourth defeat here under floodlights.

The Thabo ‘Koki’ Vilakti-led charges let a chance to go second after Young Buffaloes played to a goal-less draw earlier against a resilient Tambuti.

Despite the draw, the army side leapfrogged Royal Leopard and Mbabane Highlanders to jump to the second spot from fourth. Meanwhile, Swallows will remain on the fifth spot with Sundowns moving two places up the ladder to the sixth spot.

Both teams were adventurous in the opening half but neither side was able to break the deadlock.
After resumption, the visitors looked more dangerous going forward. They eventually pulled one via the boot of former Mbabane Highlanders man Sibusiso Mkhonta. He headed home from a Sandile Dlamini cross in the 47 minute.
