MBABANE - After almost two seasons on the sidelines, Mbabane Swallows deadly striker, Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa is back.

The former Sihlangu striker has fully recovered from the head injury he suffered in August 2017
This was during the Eswatini Telecom Charity Cup where Swallows were playing against bitter-sworn rivals, Mbabane Highlanders. The game was played at Somhlolo National Stadium, where the former won 3-2.

After the injury, a craniotomy surgery was done on the striker’s head at Manzini Clinic, costing Swallows over E400 000 in hospital fees.
A craniotomy is the surgical removal of the part of the bone from the skull to expose the brain.

Specialised tools are used to remove the section of the bone called the bone clap.
Mbabane Swallows PRO Jackson Dlamini confirmed yesterday that doctors have given the player the green light to play again. “We are happy to report that the player is back in action. It will be upon the coaches to use him as he will be available for selction. However, the main concern right is his fitness level. We have assigned our trainers to speed up the process so that his level of fitness matches that of the other players,” Dlamini said.

He further thanked the Gamedze family, Mbabane Swallows management and the team supporters who have been of great support during his injury.

Fees

“We want to thank everyone, especially Princess Lungile, who assisted in paying the hospital fees. The player is back and we are hopeful that he will help the team. However, we do not want to put him under pressure because we know what he is capable of,” he added. Meanwhile, Ndzinisa said he was happy to have fully recovered. “It has been a difficult time for me but I want to thank God, the Gamedze family, team and everyone who supported me during this hard time. I am back and I want to do what I know best, which is scoring goals,” Ndzinisa said. He is expected to help his side when they take on Manzini Sundowns tonight at Somhlolo National Stadium, in an MTN Premier League encounter.
