SUPERSTARS CROWNED TRADE FAIR CHAMPS

MBABANE – Manzini Superstars were officially crowned champions of the PSI/SIPA Trade Fair tournament.

The presentation was done on Saturday at Mavuso Sports Centre at 10am.President of Swaziland National Basketball Association (SNBA) Nhlanhla Maphanga confirmed that teams were given their prizes, trophies and medals.
Meanwhile Superladies reigned supreme in the ladies category.
The champions received E2 750 each while runners-up in Manzini Steels and Lady Jazz received E1 750 apiece.

“We are happy that finally we have presented the winners of PSI/SIPA Trade Fair that was held four months ago. The reason it took long for the winners to get their money was because of a communication breakdown between the sponsors and our members.
“SIPA had long issued a cheque but no one from our side went to collect it,” Maphanga said.

He further said not only were the champions presented with prizes but individuals who shone during the tournament also received their prizes.
Another category was that of the most valuable players, which went to Superstars’ Sandlane Zwane and Super Ladies’ Philile Simelane. They each received E500.
