MBABANE – Vovovo FC coach Gcina ‘Magiyane’ Dlamini feels Matsapha United still pose a serious threat.
Vovovo will lock horns with Matsapha United this afternoon at the Prince of Wales Sports Ground.

During a pre-match briefing at Sigwaca House yesterday, the coach said he had seen the Lubombo-based side playing a number of games this season and were capable of surprising a number of teams.

“The one mistake a team can do is to look at their log position. Watch them play, they can surprise any team at any day,” he said.
For this reason, ‘Magiyane’ said they would give their best against Matsapha despite the fact that they are at the bottom of the log. He added that they were not at a good position but said the break was a chance for teams to either make or break.

“I think we have fixed challenges we had before the break,” he said.

Highlighted

Dlamini highlighted that they had players serving suspension due to yellow cards accumulation but mentioned that they had a number of good young players for selection.
Vovovo captain, Mancoba Mavimbela, said they were ready for the game and the break had helped them have more time.
“We need a win and Matsapha will go back disappointed. We need the three points desperately,” he said.

Matsapha assistant coach, Siphiwe ‘Rio’ Nxumalo said they were growing gradually and expected to play well. “We know Vovovo is a big team but our log standing will not make us panic. Despite the respect we have for the opposition, we want all three points from this game,” he said.

Sifiso Dlamini, the Matsapha captain, said they did not expect to be relegated which is why they would play each game with determination. He said they wanted to improve their log position and therefore had to win this one.
