MBABANE – Young Buffaloes CEO Sandile Gwebu has relinquished his post, albeit temporarily.

The long-serving official is taking an indefinite break to concentrate on unnamed duties, which are believed to be outside the country. He is also a senior official in the army. Gwebu announced the latest developments on national radio’s Sports Show programme yesterday.

To keep the fires burning will be Thando Nxumalo, who has been active in the side’s development.
“While I’m away, Nxumalo will be carrying out my duties,” Gwebu announced on national radio.

On his introduction, Nxumalo assured that he would not drag the team’s name through the mud.
When called for further clarification on the issue, Gwebu’s phone rang unanswered.
Gwebu had been serving as PRO before he was elevated to CEO in June 2016.
