ANOTHER ACID TEST FOR GREEN MAMBA

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

MBABANE – The Correctional Services side, Green Mamba are ruthless.  They have gone eight games without dropping a single point and deservedly lead the chasing pack by seven points at the top.

They have already been tested by tough sides like last season’s best in champions Mbabane Swallows and runners-up Young Buffaloes but won both games with great impunity. It was 2-0 and 3-0 respectively in those ties.

The other opponents were nothing much to present any harm to the Caleb Ngwenya-led side that looks top favourites to win the first round incentive of E350 000. They are already seven clear of second-placed Royal Leopard and a further nine from tonight’s star-studded rivals. Highlanders are now one of the team they must overcome or rather that must stop Green Mamba’s rampage.

Thriller

Games between these two great football playing sides have always been nothing short of a thriller and some awesome goals have been scored before.
Either side has walked out victorious but can Highlanders be the team to cut short Green Mamba’s eight-game unbeaten run?
It is all happening at 8:30pm so be there to see for yourself.

These are two sides that entertain when they play their possession and fast attacking football and they have the players for it. Green Mamba also boast the league’s current top scorer Musa Dlamini while winger Mthunzi ‘Xavier’ Mkhontfo and striker Solomon Oladele are in scoring form too, tough times can be expected for the Highlanders defence while they will look up to their captain, Xolani ‘Chocco’ Sibandze, Vusumuzi Zungu, Thabiso Mokenkoane, Sabelo ‘Sawa’ Gamedze and probably underutilised winger Sihle Ndaba will be given a run here for his pace and crosses on the left wing.
