MBABANE – Mbabane Swallows have been boosted by the return of three key players ahead of their fixture against Vovovo tomorrow.

Players like strong defender Siboniso Ndzabandzaba, industrious midfielder Xolani ‘Papi’ Sikhondze and prolific marksman Sandile Hlatjwako, who missed some of the games in the new campaign, were back and raring to go. This was confirmed by team General Manager Sandile Zwane yesterday.

“They will all be available for selection for the game against Vovovo tomorrow. We obviously welcome them back and hope they will fight to regain their places in our star-studded line up,” read a correspondence from the capital city giants, which was copied to this publication yesterday.

Zwane said the team’s versatile centre-back Mandla Palma was still out alongside recovering goal-poacher Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa. “We will not rush them back into action though, especially Ndzinisa, who still needs to go for a scan to determine whether he is ready or not to return in January.

Return

“We will keep our fingers crossed for Palma to make a swift return so that we are at full strength, as the competition gets tougher,” said Zwane.
Meanwhile, the red and white ensemble, who look to bounce back from 0-2 setback suffered against Green Mamba in the last outing, will host Vovovo in a MTN Premier League clash at Somhlolo National Stadium at 3:30pm.

Vovovo will be in chase of their first win against Swallows in all competitions. In last season’s first round fixture, Wonder Nhleko’s second minute strike and a goal by  Sandile Hlatshwako in the 65th minute ease Thabo ‘Koki’ Vilakati’s men past the Motshane-based ensemble.
