2 EGYPT PLAYERS RULED OUT OF SIHLANGU CLASH

MBABANE – Egypt will be without the duo of Arab Contractors striker Ahmed Ali and Al Ahly forward Salah Mohsen.


Both players have been dropped from the squad to face the national team, Sihlangu on Friday at 7pm in Cairo, Egypt. According to a statement sent to the media by the Egyptian Football Association (EFA), the players will not be replaced.


“Ali left the national team training camp after picking up a muscular strain in the opening training session on Monday. Medical scans revealed that he couldn’t be available for Eswatini match,” reads a statement released yesterday morning.


Salah Mohsen was injured in the CAF Champions League with Al Ahly, when his side met ES Setif in the tournament’s first leg semi-final match.
English Premier League side Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah, Olympiacos striker Ahmed Kouka and Ahly attacker Marawan Mohsen are Egypt coach Javier Aguirre’s only remaining options in the frontline to face Sihlangu.


The Anthony Mdluli-led side is expected to arrive in Cairo, Egypt this morning for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier game billed for Friday evening, kick-off is at 7pm.
