MBABANE – Zithande Athletics Club yesterday received a major boost when Liberty Life Swaziland Ltd donated a  kit worth E10 000.
The club was presented with the athletics kit yesterday at the company offices in Mbabane.

To be precise, 100 marathon vests with liberty branding were given to the club. Melisizwe Mdluli, Liberty  Life’s Sales Manager, said they did a lot of alignments in their business and supporting the athletics club was one of them.

responsibilities

“We felt the need to support the club, we engage in many corporate responsibilities and we felt this should be among them as it relates to fitness,” said the manager. He said issues of health were a vital component in the kind of business they ran.

“We encourage healthy people to apply for our risk benefits, which is why we decided to give the E10 000 sponsor,” said Mdluli.

He added that the sponsor was just a start and they expected a long fruitful relationship with the club. “We hope you will represent us well with the Liberty brand,” he said.
Zithande Athletics Club coach Nsizwa Thwala thanked the company on behalf of the club. He said they were a newly-established club, which did not really have the financial muscle but were training experts.

“It would be more convenient for you to advertise your company now as we would be your marketing vehicle countrywide,” said Thwala.
He added that they recently concluded their boot camp events countrywide and should they have received the sponsor then, the company would have acquired tremendous marketing.

“With us, your brand will now be all over Eswatini. For us it is people’s health and fitness that is important,” he said.

extent

He said Liberty would be advertised to such an extent that from mere looking at the vests, people would start visiting the organisation’s websites to learn more about it and its services.
The couch cited this coming weekend’s Imbube marathon as the first event at which the vests will be used, and consequently marketing Liberty.
