TRICKY OUTING FOR STUTTERING ‘WESLIANS’

MBABANE – Redemption is the buzzword in Manzini Wanderers’ camp, as they welcome unpredictable Malanti Chiefs at Mavuso Sports Centre this year.

Nyanga ‘Crooks’ Hlophe’s men hope to shake off an unwanted record after suffering two defeats in their three opening matches. The maroon and white outfit, who are likely to be buoyed by a boisterous crowd at their happy hunting ground, are set to parade nimble-footed forward Mfanufikile ‘Fash’ Ndzimandze.

The latter has just completed a switch to the ‘Weslians’ after a stint with Mbabane Highlanders. Standing in the way of Wanderers will be the Pigg’s Peak-based ensemble, who are known for standing their ground against big teams. In the last league meeting, Wanderers lost 1-2.

Malanti are equally stuttering to get off the mark, but they need no motivation against the heavyweights. Import Asive Langwe and gifted midfielder Lindokuhle ‘Ntolo’ Fakudze will be in the spotlight, as Malanti Chiefs chase their second win of the campaign.

It is a must-win for both sides to keep the leading pack in sight, as the chase for the E350 000 first round ‘carrot’ begins to gain momentum.
