MBABANE – It’s now or never for REP Volleyball Club. The ENVA/Nedbank Volleyball League elite men’s title is up for grabs – if they are to win it, their chance to do so is on October 13, 2018. This will be a grand closing as proposed by the Eswatini National Volleyball Association (ENVA).

They face defending champions and unbeaten leaders Correctional Services, who defended their PSI/SIPA Trade Fair Cup early this month. The top-of-the-table forces’ derby clash is scheduled for a venue yet to be confirmed by the ENVA.

Only a point separates the two sides at the top and one loss between them as REP lost once with three games to go.
“There are only three remaining three games, both leagues combined and this is where the championship will be decided,” said ENVA Management Committee (MC) Secretary Eric Zwane.

He also confirmed there will be no action this weekend, and that October 3 was the proposed date for grand closing.
It will be a great game for the fans and the sport at large, between these two giant sides in the league. REP’s female side were outfoxed by Correctional who cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win to retain the top spot last Saturday in Matsapha, further confirming their consecutive league title as they are a point in front with a game in hand.

Both Correctional sides are favourites to win the league again but the male team which won the reverse fixture must do the same to defend the title. The ladies will be up against tricky Zakhele, who are fourth on the table in what will be the only match in this category but one the former will want to use for their celebrations. UEDF men’s team will have a tough one against Customs when they return to action.
