TAEKWONDO’S SIZWE FLIES ESWATINI FLAG HIGH

MBABANE – The country’s taekwondo best Sizwe Mabuza has done it again at international level.


The Next Generation third dan black belt was awarded with a certificate of merit for being the best master instructor during the 2018 Global Taekwondo Master Training Course held in South Korea for the past three weeks.


Mabuza also received the competition certificate for the course.
He is expected back to the country today as the course was closed yesterday. Swaziland Taekwondo Association (STAss) Secretary Mbongeni ‘Ndo’ Sibandze confirmed the good news. He said Mabuza did very well in the course and had raised the country’s flag high as he is now a world recognised instructor.
“Our vice-president completed his Masters Training Course. Theoretical and practical exams were held on Friday.


‘‘He excelled among all the other participants and was awarded a completion certificate and also certificate of merit for being the best master instructor,” he said.
There were 56 participants coming from continents including Africa, Asia and South America. Some of the African countries that were represented in the course include South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, Chad, Algeria, Ghana, Angola and Tunisia.


“Sizwe Promise Mabuza has been awarded the diploma for his outstanding performance among the trainees during the 72nd Taekwondo 3rd Class International instructor by the Kukkiwon,” reads the certificate.
The certificates were signed by Kukkiwon President Oh Hyun Duk.


Some of the things they were taught during the course include efficiency, latest methods of teaching taekwondo, finest basics, leadership, coaching and management of athletes and treating sports injuries among other things.
