‘BOGANDAGANDA’ FACE ‘WESLIANS’ IN 1ST CLASH

MBABANE – The ‘Deep Blue Ocean’s razzmatazz is gone, certainly overshadowed by the club, Matsapha United’s new owners, Mhlume Peacemakers, who are renowned as ‘Bogandaganda’ after the latter purchased the former’s elite status last month.

With the name change set for next year, they will continue as Matsapha United and after having their first elite match against Young Buffaloes postponed in the last minute last weekend, they will tonight finally get into action.

This is also in their backyard as was the initial fixture. They are welcoming a wounded Manzini Wanderers who we saw last Sunday, narrowly go down to Green Mamba – they lost 1-0 at Somhlolo National Stadium after a better showing than their opponents. If they can work on getting a striker as deadly as departed Aladeon Kola, then they could soon be a force to be reckoned with.

Matsapha will certainly appear as a closed book to Wanderers, which gives them a bit of spice. They should also be motivated to face a team of Wanderers’ calibre; they will have the opportunity to make the game worth its salt for the fans who will travel to Mhlume in front of a big crowd. Matsapha’s coach, Ernest Mavuso must be ready to kick off the season tonight after last week’s late postponement, missing out on the opening round of the league games.

Wanderers will be all out to record their first win in two games and they have what it takes – the zeal and teamwork is amazing. A game to watch!
