NICK MARWA COMPLETES 50 PARKRUNS

MBABANE – Local runner Nick Marwa is a parkrun devotee. This, after Marwa completed his 50th run in the 71st edition of the Mbabane Parkrun on Saturday.


He finished on position 19 with a time of 24:31 minutes to set the record for himself in as far as the highest number of parkruns at the local weekly 5km timed run.

The Mbabane parkrun committeepresented Marwa with a cake inscribed 50 parkrun.
He was handed by Lean Drinkwater, who is one of the parkrun organisers. Chris Morgan, a local runner will also be celebrating his 50th parkrun next weekend.
He is the third runner, with the highest number of total runs.


He completed his 49th run on Saturday and he finished the race in 31:06 minutes.
Currently, the runner with the highest runs is Neil Robinson with 64 total runs.
Winning the race was none other than Nkululeko Gama on a time of 15:53 minutes, while the Dlamini brothers in Mduduzi and Sifiso came second and thirdly, respectively.


 The former clocked 17:13, while the latter finished the race in 17:25 minutes.
In the ladies category, Ashar Ward reigned supreme as she came first with a time of 28:37 minutes, while Badelisile Ngubane came second on 29:52 minutes.
