MANZINI – Another race - one more gold medal for Retha Harding.

Daring MTN Khemani cyclist Retha Harding was back to claim gold in the 55km Mormond ‘Stix’ Mountain Bike Challenge at Manzini Club.
She clocked 03:24:50 to win the championship for a second straight year.

Retha’s continued dominance is unmistakable, as she now cycles while wearing a national team jersey.
Winning the national championship earned her the national team jersey and she will wear it in all official races, as per the requirement by the Cycling Association of Swaziland (CAS).

Retha could not improve her time of 03:07:39 from the past year, but was excited to have another flawless outing at the trails.
“The route was lovely and it was enjoyable cycling on the single trails.

“The weather was beautiful as well,” she noted.
Ranking second in the ladies category was the equally brave Wendy Reed while Lesley Foss was third.
Meanwhile, Mormond boss John ‘Mashesha’ Thomson was honoured to stage another successful event and held back tears while trying to express his appreciation on the success of the festivities.
