ACES CROWNED HUB ESSENTIAL MBABANE JUNIORS CHAMPS

MBABANE – Ezulwini Aces proved rather too good for their counterpart, Supersports.


This is after they beat them 3-1 in the Hub Essential Mbabane Under-17 Juniors tournament, which was played at Msunduza Sports Ground yesterday.
They were presented with their glittering trophy and gold medals and E600 first prize package by Hub Essential Chief Brand and Customer Officer, Khumbu Dlamini and Hhohho Regional Football (HRFA) Chairman of Youth Development, Ntokozo Tsela.The tournament was sponsored to a tune of E28 000 across six juniors league in the Hhohho Region.


Aces beat Sidwashini 4-2 in penalties to advance to the finals. In full time the two sides settled to 0-0 draw.The runners-up, Supersports had beaten PMT 3-1 in the other semi-finals to book their way in the finals. They received silver medals and E400.The two semi-finalists, PMT and Sidwashini pocketed E200 apiece.


Aces coach, Nkosiphile Dlamini said thorough preparations saw them winning the tournament.
“We trained the whole week and there was no way we could have lost. We are happy that we managed to win this trophy and we are looking forward to winning more trophies in the near future,” Dlamini said.
Meanwhile, Hub Essential’s Khumbu Dlamini said they were happy to partner with HRFA.


“We are always motivated by investing in development. This is the very reason we decided to channel our fund to this junior tournament because we believe the future of the national team lies with the youth,” she said.
HRFA’s Ntokozo Tsela thanked the sponsor for partnering with them.
“The tournament would not have been a success if they had not come on board. We plead with other companies to come partner with us,” Tsela said.
