MATSAPHA UTD HIT BACK AT PLE

MBABANE - South Africa’s Dirk and Anelda Badenhorst could have done their 94th parkrun anywhere but they chose the Mbabane parkrun.

They were part of the 93 runners who participated in the 66th parkrun yesterday at Mbabane Club. Dirk, the husband finished the race in 26:31 minutes while his wife, Anelda crossed the finish line in 33:59 minutes. Interestingly, they have never done a parkrun separately; they have always done it together. What is more interesting is that on her first time partaking, Anelda came first in the women category. “We are happy to have completed our 94th run in Eswatini.We loved the course and we do hope we will visit again. We want to have a record for the couple that has the highest total runs,” Dirk said. Meanwhile the winner of the parkrun was Zweli Ncongwane on 18:43 minutes while an unknown person came second while Mpilo Maziya completed the top three in 18:52 minutes.
