MBABANE – He will officially wear the Mbabane Swallows jersey this Friday away in Tunisia.

That will be in the TOTAL CAF Champions League Group D second leg tie of the group stage between the local giants and Tunis’ Étoile du Sahel. After a court battle over his ownership, striker Kola Aladeon will finally play for Swallows.

His team last season, Manzini Wanderers, had taken Swallows to court arguing the player belonged to them as he renewed his contract and accepted E75 000 signing-on fee. However, the player had also signed a three months’ contract with the Mbabane side, running from June 1 to August 31 this year.

The High Court ruled that he was clear to honour his Swallows’ contract and was yesterday part of the team when it left the country for Tunisia.
“I feel so great that I won the case and can play now. It is all through God’s grace and I look forward to helping the team. I’ll certainly give my best to ensure we get something as a team,” he said after the farewell bidding at Sigwaca House.
He said his dream ‘was to play’ and he was grateful that God made it happen.

“We’ll take each game as it comes. It’s been a dragging case that cost me the first match last Tuesday but things are okay now,” he said.
Questioned if he would be returning to Wanderers after everything that happened, Kola immediately said ‘that is my home team’. He emphasised that the maroon and white outfit was the team that made him who he is in Eswatini but would be dealing with all that once his task at Swallows was completed.
