MANZINI – Princes and princesses are leading the campaign for emaSwati to get fit.

The Peaceful Warrior Foundation, which is a brainchild of Prince Bandzile, has officially launched an initiative named Eswatini Fitness Challenge in style.

As yesterday marked the launch of the fitness challenge, several princes and princesses made a stop at the Mavuso Sports Centre and flawlessly endured a 50-minute aerobic workout.

They included Princes Benkhosi and Mcwasho, among others.
After the formalities were out of the way, the over 100 participants were taken through their paces by instructors and the session lasted 50 minutes in line with its theme.

Prince Bandzile highlighted that the challenge was simply a call for emaSwati to get active and embracing the initiative called for one to endure a 50-minute exercise for the next 50 days until Independence Day (September 6). The major goal is for Eswatini to be in the top 10 healthiest nations in the world.

On the last day of the challenge there would be a 50km marathon.
“It is good to keep the nation healthy and even old people from all walks of life can take part,” said the prince.

Also present during the launch was Minister of Sport, Culture and Youth Affairs David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala and Swaziland National Sport and Recreation Council CEO Darius Dlomo. The minister appealed to companies to embrace the initiative as he stressed that it would keep the nation healthy and out of hospital.
