MBABANE – For all his eloquence the Eswatini Telecom yesterday announced Eswatini Television journalist Lington Gule as the Charity Cup PRO for the second consecutive year.

It was made clear by the sponsoring company of the tournament’s Corporate Affairs Manager Nqobile Magagula during the play-offs draw and kit presentation at the offices that Gule was selected after considering his work last year.

“I have been told that they did not just come to the decision to appoint you but had to undergo a vigorous selection exercise before your name was approved. Congratulations and it is all because of the impressive work you did last year. I like you because you are hard worker and also very humble,” said the company’s Managing Director, Petros Dlamini, as he shook hands with Gule. Gule immediately got into his job, his first task being the draw which he conducted with PLS’ COO Pat Vilakati.

In his remarks, Gule said God knew about his appointment even before yesterday but it all had to come out in the open. “Everything starts with him so everything that’s happened here is His will. This is the Charity Cup and I can assure you with one voice it will be even bigger especially since this is the golden jubilee year in the country,” he said.

Meanwhile, Gule is expected to promote the tournament and liaise with the media as well as the club’s PROs.
