MBABANE – He is now torn between three teams. That is Mbabane Swallows forward Sandile Hlatshwako, who is reported to have signed for TS Galaxy and TS Sporting, both in the South Africa’s National First Division while still having a running contract with the ‘Beautiful Birds’.

The lanky striker first gave his signature to TS Galaxy before he signed on the dotted line with TS Sporting, with defender Sanele Mkhweli. Both teams will be campaigning in the South Africa’s National First Division League, having gained promotion last season.

TS Sporting was promoted in the past season while TS Galaxy bought the status of Cape Town All Stars in the National First Division. They were campaigning in ABC Motsepe League last season.  A source close to the matter confirmed that the two South African teams, including Mbabane Swallows, were at loggerheads over the player.

Hlatshwako signed with both teams while still having a running contract with Mbabane Swallows who are campaigning in the Total CAF Champions League.

Swallows General Manager Sandile ‘Beyond 2 000’ Zwane appealed for respect from teams, whether in the country or outside.
“There are teams that have come forward to negotiate for our players and this is disrespectful to us.

We are a big team that has a respectable brand and we need respect. Hlatshwako and the rest of our players belong to the team and they have contracts with Swallows; that needs to be respected,” he said.

Zwane said if push comes to a shove, they will have to report such cases to the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) or the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Zwane said the team would undergo a two-week hard training in preparation for their CAF Champions League game against Tunisia’s Etoile du Sahel on July 17 at the Mavuso Sports Centre.
