MBABANE – Mvela Seven Stars last week celebrated their first ever promotion to the Shiselweni Super League.
The team from Nhlangano won the league by a whopping 13 points.

Seven Stars’ manager Sabelo Mavimbela said they were looking forward to qualifying and participating in big competitions like the SwaziBank Cup and Ingwenyama Cup now that they had qualified for the region’s Super league. He said they had what it took to sustain their promotion to the third tier of local football.

“It has been a hard 20 plus years for us trying to move up the ranks. We thank our fans for rallying behind the team and we now look forward to the successful campaign in the Super League. We believe we are good enough to survive,” he said.
Seven Stars won their last match against Inter Milan 5-1, and will campaign in the Southern Zone Super League.
