MBABANE – Sidvwashini United are on the brink of being promoted to the Hhohho Southern Zone Super League.

They are on the second spot with seven points after Hawane Shooting Stars in the play-off log following their 3-2 victory over Mdzimba Arsenal yesterday, who are already out of the contest.
The game watched by a crowd of over 100 fans was non-stop action from start to finish.

It was Sidvwashini who started on a high note, creating scoring chances, only to be missed. Their dominance up-front paid off when they were awarded a penalty after Arsenal’s Melusi Makhanya tackled Simanga Dlamini inside the box.
Nkosingiphile Magagula converted from the spot kick.

With 10 minutes remaining before the break, Arsenal came back strongly and scored two goals through Mcolisi Mkhonta and Ndumiso Hadzebe on the 35th and 43rd minute, respectively.
The game went for the breather with Mdzimbza Arsenal enjoying a 2-1 lead.

In the second half, Simanga Dlamini finished off a well taken cross by Wakhile Dlamini to equalise and with eight minutes remaining before full time, Lizwe Dlamini scored the winner, sending his side to the brink of making it to the Super League.

In an earlier kick-off, Hawane Arsenal, who are at the summit of the log, played a 3-all draw against Community while Early Sunset thrashed Ezulwini Aces 4-1 to keep their promotion hopes high.
Meanwhile, in the northern Hhohho, Machibini Rovers are leading with four points after their goalless draw against Msahweni.

Only two teams will be promoted to the Super league from the six teams log.
