MBABANE – CAF Champions League envoys Mbabane Swallows have made their biggest catch yet in Manzini Wanderers talisman Aladeon Kola.

The Nigeria-born forward has signed a three-month contract with the red and white ensemble and has been brought on board for the CAF Champions League campaign. His engagement with the Thabo ‘Koki’ Vilakati-led ensemble is for the period June to August 2018.

Swallows are in the group stages of Africa’s premier club competition for the first time in their history and their round-robin games end with a trip to Angola in August.

The player’s agent Charles Matsebula could only confirm an agreement with the capital city giants over the player, but could not share finer details of the arrangement.

Reports suggest Wanderers have not given up on signing the player for another season, and will make an effort to re-unite with him after his stint with Swallows.  It was reliably gathered Kola’s contract with the ‘Weslians’ would expire before the end of the week.

Wanderers CEO Pat Mahlalela said he had no comment on the issue, as nothing had reached his office on the matter. He insisted on knowing the source of the information. Teams from beyond the country’s borders are said to be also interested in the services of the gifted striker.
