MBABANE – Fitness devotees’ endurance will be put to the test when Swaziland’s most exciting strength competition returns this weekend.

Saturday marks the first Swazi Warrior Fitness Challenge competition for the new year. It will be staged at Simunye Country Club from 8am.
In the event, the competitors are expected to endure about 20 obstacles with the fastest time. Endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy are put to the test.

According to information posted on the event’s official Facebook page, participation fee for each ‘warrior’ is E150. Teams are supposed to pay E600 each.

Competitors can arrange for accommodation. It will cost E250 to be accommodated at the venue during the festivities.
Would-be participants can liaise with one of the organisers, Clifton Koen, on 7607 3641.

Meanwhile, eyes are on Nkoyoyo-based soldier Mzamo Mavuso, whose name has become synonymous with gold. He dominated both cross-fit and warrior events in the past year. In the female division, Catija De Sousa is unmoved on the podium’s highest point.
