MBABANE – Mbabane Swallows and Manzini Wanderers Ladies will renew their rivalry when they meet in the quarter-finals of the inaugural E75 000 Ladies SwaziBank Cup.

The draw, which was witnessed by SwaziBank Managing Director Zakhele Lukhele and football bigwigs led by National Football Association of Swaziland (NFAS) President Adam ‘Bomber’ Mthethwa, was conducted at the SwaziBank Auditorium in Mbabane yesterday.

The teams were seeded in the opening round. They are the powerhouses in women football alongside Young Buffaloes, who face Mhlume.

Reacting to the draw, Wanderers Chairman Mduduzi Maseko said they were cautious ahead of the fixture, as knockout games were never easy.
“We’re ready but we are still preparing for the game as knockout games are tough,” he said.

Melissa Dlamini said her team was looking beyond Lobamba Highlanders in the bid to reach the final.
“We play good football and parade youngsters. We’re looking forward to the game,” said Highlanders Manager Andile Maseko.
The games are expected to be played on Saturday at a venue still to be confirmed. The champions will pocket E20 000.
