MBABANE – The search for the first goal between Matsapha United and Mbabane Highlanders continues when the two sides cross swords in a blockbuster SwaziBank Cup quarter-final clash.

In all two meetings, the games ended in goalless draws. While on-form Highlanders will parade free-scoring ‘terrible twins’ in Mthobisi Mngomezulu and Thabiso Mokenkoane, Matsapha will be buoyed by their cup final appearance in the past year.
Form favours the home side, but they cannot be complacent against the opponents, who are known for standing their ground against ‘big guns’.

The visitors have the likes of Nkosinamandla ‘Nkola’ Nkambule and Mthobisi ‘Mkhelele’ Mdluli, who can ensure the pendulum swings in their team’s favour.
However, the ‘Deep Blue Ocean’s frailties upfront were exposed in the 0-2 league loss to Mbabane City in the last outing, but would be expected to have done their homework this time around.

Both sets of players do not need motivation ahead of the titanic clash. Highlanders are expectedly the hungrier of the two sides, as they are in chase of their first SwaziBank Cup trophy in eight years. In South Africa-born gaffer Mlungisi ‘Professor’ Ngubane, they have a coach who can pull a rabbit out of the hat.
For Matsapha coach Dumsani ‘DU’ Makhanya, it is a must win in the quest to impress his new employers.
