EZULWINI – Swazi Mobile’s romance with Mbabane Highlanders is blossoming with each passing day.

The mobile cellphone company yesterday presented the capital city giants with brand new Puma branded tracksuits and golf shirts worth slightly over E60 000.

The market value for each of the 23 tracksuits amounts to E2 250 each. The black golf shirts are valued at E495 each. The official presentation took place yesterday towards lunch hour at Whispers at Ezulwini. Swazi Mobile was represented by Corporate Communications Officer Macford Sibandze while Lobamba Lomdzala MP Marwick Khumalo, Coach Mlungisi Professor Ngubane, Manager Sihle Dlamini and a couple of team officials.

Khumalo thanked Swazi Mobile for strengthening their already flourishing relationship with the high quality merchandise that would definitely improve the team’s image.

“Our supporters have a huge responsibility to Swazi Mobile, given their unrivalled support to the team. We urge them to go full force in consuming Swazi Mobile products, because in doing so they are in a way giving to the team.

“They should form WhatsApp groups and feats on the plenty of discounted rates for data bundles and almost free call rates,” he said.
Sibandze said the current partnership with teams including Mbabane Highlanders was to meet the international trends of taking the game to a higher degree of professionalism. He said the company is cognisant of the very rich history attached to the Mbabane Highlanders brand.

“They were the first team to bring a club from Egypt to the country, and they have a history of providing nine players to the Sihlangu starting eleven,” he said.

He said the aim is to go beyond dressing them in tracksuits but sponsoring formal wear, as well to meet the current sporting trends that come with professionalism.

He said their expectation was that the club would rally their supporters to embrace Swazi Mobile products, because they have the biggest support base in the country.
