MBABANE – The Commonwealth Games bound cyclists will be put to their last test ahead of the trip in the Emperors Palace Cycle Classic 2018.

The 98km race is billed for Sunday in South Africa where the trio of Gcina Banda, Mduduzi Zwane and Muzi Shabangu are expected to compete.
The cyclists will leave the country on April 1 for the Commonwealth Games.

The squad manager, Mbusi Motsa, confirmed yesterday that this will be their last competition before they travel. He said the race came at the right time as it would play a very important role in gauging the standard of the cyclists.

Billed as ‘The race of dreams’, what the Emperors Palace Classic race offers is stunning and includes both road riders and mountain bikers.
The race presents a delightful fast and flat route over distances of 98km and 48km. The total ascent on the 98km road race is 358 metres while the 40km ride boasts a vertical ascent of 240 metres.
