MBABANE – Sprinter Sibusiso ‘Swazi Bolt’ Matsenjwa is eager to face the world’s best athletes ahead of the Commonwealth Games.

Matsenjwa will compete tonight in the Liquid Telecom Athletix Grand Prix Series Meeting at the Dal Josaphat Stadium, Paarl, Cape Town. This will be his second last event as he is also expected to run in the Ingwenyama Cup final on Sunday at Somhlolo National Stadium.

Matsenjwa is likely to face South Africa’s Akani Simbine and Henricho Bruintjies in the 100m if he is confirmed in the starling list. He said for now he was guaranteed a lane in the 200m.
Simbine and Bruintjies are undoubtedly one of the major draw cards in the event at the third and final Grand Prix Series.

This is the final test before departing to the Gold Coast, Australia for the Commonwealth Games.
Other athletes who are likely to feature in the 100m include the South Africa national champion Simon Magakwe, the 200m champion, Luxolo Adams as well as Roscoe Engel who finished 4th at the national championships and Retshiditswe Mlenga, the 18-year-old World Youth Champion who finished 5th at the national championships in the 100m final.
