EZULWINI – SwaziBank Managing Director (MD) Zakhele Lukhele has given thumbs up to this year’s Uyayifuna Na! SwaziBank Cup.

The tournament is now at the quarter-finals stage, where eight teams qualified over the weekend. Lukhele said despite that the tournament had challenges at the beginning over the court case involving Hub Sundowns, everything has gone according to plan.

The eight remaining teams are Manzini Wanderers, Mbabane Highlanders, Malanti Chiefs, Manzini Sundowns, Matsapha United, Royal Leopard, Young Buffaloes and Green Mamba.

Lukhele was addressing the teams’ Public Relations Officers (PROs) and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) yesterday during a networking event held at the Royal Villas.
“The tournament had progressed well and we are happy that now fans understand that football can be heart-breaking but there has to be a winner,” he said.

SwaziBank Cup Management Committee (MC) Chairman Comfort Shongwe, said the court case was a learning curve and they are happy that it was now over and the tournament is flowing.

“The tournament has been a great success so far and we are happy with the good behaviour showed by the teams. We now encourage the teams to make sure they practise the club licensing,” he said.
