MBABANE – They did it again. TZD athletes again hoisted the country’s flag high during the Nelspruit Marathon (Uniwisp 5-in-1) held on Saturday in Nelspruit, South Africa. They brought home four medals including two gold medals and the rest were silver medals.

The four shining stars were Simiso Ngcamphalala who won the 21km on time of 1:13 hours, Machawe Magagula in 10km, Kalulu Mndlovu and the only girl from the team Sithembile Nzalo who also snatched a gold medal after finishing second.
TZD Sports Director Zakhele Dlamini said the athletes were showing great improvement since they made their debut last year.

Kalulu Mndlovu was also the hero in January when he finished the top three in a half marathon held in Nelspruit.
“The athletes made the country proud as they brought home four medals with two being gold. They will continue to work hard and attend more competitions to grow in the sport,’ he said.
The TZD athletes have also been dominant in the past two half marathons held in the country being the USDF ‘Wafa Wafa’ and the Golden Foot ‘Tuff One’.
