MTN’S E150 000 FOR MONTHLY MASTERS GOLF TOURNAMENT

MBABANE – Mbabane Golf Club’s ‘marriage’ with MTN Swaziland is a match made in heaven.

The giant mobile phone company pumped in a whopping E150 000 for this year’s instalment of the MTN Monthly Masters Golf Tournament, which will be played between this month and February 2019.  The games are played at least once a month. The launch was held at the Mbabane Golf Club yesterday.

MTN CEO Ambrose Dlamini noted that the participation figures were shooting up each year since the launch of the event in 2010, highlighting that the company’s brand also got mileage since coming on board.
“We look forward to another exciting season,” he said.

Programme Director and Mbabane Golf Club vice captain Kenneth Nkambule was all smiles as he noted that it was the biggest club sponsorship countrywide.
“The hype around the MTN Monthly Masters Tournament is amazing. It’s always a full house.
“We’re really appreciative of the kind gesture,” he said.

Also celebrated on the day was MTN partnership in other sporting codes like cycling and basketball, among others.
Several seasoned golfers witnessed the launch and they included Evart Madlopha and Willard Mkhwanazi.
