SPORTS AND RECREATION WEBSITE ‘LAUNCHED’

MBABANE – The Swaziland National Sport and Recreation Council (SNSRC) website is now ‘up and running.’

SNSRC chief executive officer Darius Dlomo told journalists during a media briefing at his offices at the Industrial Sites in Mbabane yesterday that information about the company was now readily available online. The website had not been updated since the transition from the old Sports Council setup to the new body over three years ago.

“At the end of 2017 we finalised the website. It has details about the organisations and recognised sports associations, among other details,” said Dlomo.
The link to the website is www.sportscouncil.org.sz. The company also has other online media platforms like Facebook and Twitter. Meanwhile, Dlomo had

arranged the press conference to announce a decision to put the National Sports Awards on hold to focus on producing more elite athletes. He said the event would return next year and focus this year was on increasing the dwindling figures of elite athletes in the country.
