MBABANE – Truly, they are the ‘bank with a heart’.

SwaziBank has splashed E220 000 for this year’s Under-20 tournament dubbed Uyayifuna Na! The bank’s Managing Director, Zakhele Lukhele, announced the new package which shows an increase from last year’s E200 000 yesterday at the SwaziBank auditorium, along the busy as a beehive Gwamile Street in Mbabane.  “SwaziBank remains committed to the development of local football. The Under-20 tournament allows us to go to the grassroots of soccer development. Successful teams worldwide have strong development programmes for the junior squads,” Lukhele said during the launch.

This is the fifth edition of the SwaziBank Under-20 Cup.
Lukhele added that the advantage of developing soccer at youth level is that they are able to instil soccer technique and insight in players; encouraging them to embrace competition, teach them to value sportsmanship, promote individual and social development and build discipline in the players’ characters.
“These characteristics teach them values they need beyond the soccer field. They teach them to become better citizens and future leaders,” he said.
