LESOTHO – After over 1 000 Swazi fans cascaded the Setsoto Stadium yesterday, Mbabane Swallows’ captain Tony ‘TT’ Tsabedze acknowledged the support.

In his own words after the 4-2 win, he said; “I just wish this can go on and on. Thank you to our fans and all the Swazis who came with us. We want this to keep happening even for other clubs when they play for the country.”
Commenting on the game, he said their rivals were a very good side such that he feels they will have to put more effort in the second leg to advance to the next match in which they are highly likely to face Zambia’s Zanaco who beat Gambia’s armed forces side 3-0 away in Gambia.

Tsabedze also praised his players for showing character in the second half as the first half proved very tough.
“We scored and they quickly responded which just shows we were against a good side that is capable of anything going to second leg,” he said.

He said it was experience and determination that saw them through as well as the tremendous support that they had on the day. His counterpart Thaphelo Mokele said they made mistakes against a very good side that also had experience.
“Swallows are a good side with experience so the mistakes we made cost us as they capitalised. We didn’t just lose because we had to but our own mistakes gave it all away,” he said.
He said they still had their chance in the second leg but conceded it will be very tough.
