BUFFS IN ‘BIRDS’ CATCH-UP WAR AGAINST PIRATES

MBABANE – The past weekend had two number ones in the MTN Premier League – first it was fiercely challenging army side Young Buffaloes after they beat Malanti Chiefs 3-0 on Saturday, before defending champions Mbabane Swallows reclaimed their place the next day with a hard-earned 2-1 win over Royal Leopard.

The race is on again tonight and Buffaloes will get the ball rolling – they could just be back on top again, who knows for how long as Swallows have yet another mammoth task against their hub rivals Manzini Wanderers tomorrow.
Any slip-up by Buffaloes could just be all Swallows needed, especially if they beat the maroon and white side tomorrow to go seven points clear.

Moneni Pirates are not their best these days on and off the field but were fortunate to get a point against Matsapha United, having not trained all week.
Unless they improve the situation quickly, Buffaloes could run them over with ease as the army side is becoming a force to be reckoned, with the kind of football they play nowadays.
Just like soldiers always ready for battle, Buffaloes will be hard to rob lest Pirates bring a bag full of tricks.
